Comparison between the order by Walsh's definition and that by Paley's on Walsh functions is discussed and the system {Φn*} which is subset of Walsh system is introduced. Thus the algorithms of Walsh functions generation by a sequential method and a given order method are derived ; these algorithms are compatible with Walsh's and Paley's order. Furthermore the procedure of conversion from Walsh's or Paley's order to another is obtained. Construction of Walsh functions generator and its application to synthesis of simple wave forms are reported, Walsh-Fourier series proving useful for analysis and synthesis of continuous or discrete time functions.
