This paper is a continuation from the first report by the writers, and it presents the generalized formulation of the operational method for bending problems of continuous beams. The powerfulness of the method in philosophy and computation may be observed from the shifting chart and the geometry matrix. The rigorous solution for all kinds of continuous beams can be obtained by systematic shift operations. The procedures presented herein can be readily developed to problems of the beams on elastic foundation, the beams with axial force, the column buckling, and their vibration analyses.
