Two special exhibitions-Special Exhibition of The Shosoin Treasures (Nov. 1st.-14th, 1954) , and Special Exhibition of The Imperial Household Treasures originally belonging to The Horyuji were hold in the Nara National Museum. In these exhibitions we tried meteorological observations. Main results are as follows : A. In the exhibition of the Shosoin Treasures, a. The temperatures are about 15°C and humidties are about 70-80% in the show-cases. b. The variations of temperatures and humidities in the show-cases are generally small and smooth. But, when the doors and windows are opened in early morning, the temperatures and humidities in the show-cases vary considerably by dint of cool and dry air flowing into rooms. B. In the exhibition of the Imperial Household Treasures, a. The temperatures are about 10-20°C, and humidities are about 70-80% in show-cases. b. The variations of the temceratures are generally smooth, but the humidities occasionally vary in sharp curves. C. In both exhibitions, a. We found obvious differences in temperature and humidity in each show-cases. b. The temperatures and the humidities in the show-cases, are influenced considerably by spectators.
