This report discusses how Talcott Parsons and Robert F. Bales in their "Family, Socialization and Interaction process" (1956) treats of the levels of cultural generality and its logical structure seen in a single cycle in the process of differentiotion of a system of action. This theme generally constitutes the subject of studies of logic and epistemology. In the case of Parsons and Bales, this may belong to the problem of structural patterns in phase movement, but in our case this arouses our interest all the more because it tries to make epistemological and logieal inquiries into their theory of phase movement. First of all, they take up a model case of performance process and learning process which are the two major types of action-process , and after studying their differences and parallelism, they proved that there are seven stages and three levels in the cultural generality seen in the process of differentiation. What stimulates our scientific interest most is as follows : (1) The manner in which the seven stages and three levels of the cultural generality and the three phases of action-process are corresponding to each other. (2) The fact that we can make a further study of the fundamental character of logic and epistemology from their new point of view in which they tried to take up together the two major types, performance process and learning process, from the angle of action-process. (3) The features of their theory consist in the fact that one cycle of the process of differentiation contains another two sub-cycles in it, but when compared with the logical and epistemological theories of others, what does their theory signify, especially their second sub-cycle ?
