A Study of the Thermal Environment about Heating System "Ondol"

This study deals with the fields measurements on thermal environment of traditional houses in Korea．Measurements were carried out on Koreantraditional house with aOndol（stone floor），Maru（Daecheong；wooden floor).Ondol rooms are recognized that thoseare suitable room for winter．And the Maru is recognized that it is the suitable space for summer．Ondol room keeps room temperature of around 18 degree C by the coldest time．Ondol room was developed that it was indoor stable warm temperature environment．Maru does of indoor warm temperature environment in softening without beating systemfrom this result．There is not the thing that cold wind enters the room of the winter in thedaytime．However，the comfort of the Ondol room was not felt and I was slightly chilly．This understood that temperature of the floor surface was related．
