We planned and run a technology curriculum that aimed for determining significance of design process learning in technology education. For this study, we developed two types of design process model and showed student groups them in classroom for understanding of the design process and tried to clarify how it contributed for creativity or problem solving ability through doing practice in junior high school.As a result, we clarified the following.1) When we provided with a meaning and a model of design process more accepted by students in the classroom, about 90% of the student felt a useful feeling for a design process and almost students recognized they could apply it not only in the other subject but an everyday scene.2) Teaching a simple and clear design process model made them thought to use it, easily. On the other hand, students who had learned a closed-loop model which was designed by us, had understanding that improvement of a result in technological activity was more important than evaluation of that.
