• A 58 y Male who underwent appendectomy 20 y ago, recently was diagnosed to has early gastric cancer and a subtotal gastrectomy was performed, during the operation it was found to be a tumor of the cecum and subseqently operation for cecal carcinoma was performed. Postoperative histopathologic examination revealed the tumor originated from the postappendectomized stump. This case may be related to the techniqe of the appendectomy.
