There are many problems which are not yet resolved with regard to gasdynamic characteristics of the MHD generator. In a supersonic MHD generator, shock and expansion waves appear which interact with the boundary layer. As a result, a gradual pressure rise in the flow direction is observed in actual generators with supersonic inlet conditions. However, most of investigations were done using a flow model with one normal shock wave and failed to predict the gradual pressure rise. In the present paper, based on an extension of Crocco's shockless model, an MHD pseudo-shock model for a supersonic Faraday generator has been presented in which the effect of a inlet Mach number is taken into account. Numerical results has been explained and predicted the rather gradual pressure rise.
