51 year old male entered the hospital with a ch i ef complaint of gross hematuria lasttingfor a week prior to admission. Cystoscopic study revealed a tumor of a corn grainsize seated at the upper portion of the bladder which had a blacky violet tint beingoutlined by a red halo. Partial resection of the bladder wall was performed. The tumor5X7 mm in size was elevated from the wall. Histologically submucosal thickening wit h richvascularization was revealed. Muscular layer was found intact. This case report representsthe 18th case in the Japanese literature.
