最近、日本でも子どものトラウマやPTSDについて、一般的に知られるようになってきたが、まだその治療に関しての研究は少ない。欧米においては、子どものPTSD治療についての実証的研究が増えてきており、大人同様に認知行動療法の有効性が明確になってきている。子どもの認知行動療法としては、保護者に参加してもらったり、グループで行ったり、いくつかの曝露方法を用いたりするなど工夫がみられる。Trauma reactionsin included PTSD in child have come to be known generally in Japan recently. But there are few studies of the treatment for children. The empirical studies on the child's PTSD treatments have increased in the USA and European countries and it became clear that the cognitive-behavioral therapy was effective also for the child as well as the adult. In child's cognitive-behavioral therapy, the use of enforcement in the guardian's participation or the group, some exposure methods etc. are devised.
