本研究は、聴覚障害児を対象に、授業でビデオ番組を活用する際に有効な字幕の呈示方法を明らかにすることを目的とした。字幕を挿入し、再生速度要因と交互呈示要因において理解度の比較を行い、また付加情報の有効性と内容の理解度に関しても検討した。その結果、1)再生速度要因において有意差は認められなかった、2)字幕と映像を交互に呈示した場合が効果的であった、3)付加情報を与えると、文脈を類推する効果が働き、内容理解が促進される、ことが明らかになった。This report evaluates the effectiveness of putting captions into television program for children with sensorineural hearing loss. Three types of superimposed captions were used for television program. Two series of comprehenshion tests were conducted. Subjects were answered the comprehenshion test concerning the televison program. The major findings as follows: 1) There is no statistical differences in the correct understanding of contents by the display time. 2) To present captions and movies alternately is more effective for correct understanding of contents. 3) Additional informations are more effective for correct understnding of contents. From the results, it appears that captions in television program act as an important cue for learner with hearing impairement.
