The investigations on the plastic deformation of polycrystalline metals are broadly devisible into two groups as the macroscopic and microscopic investigations. The former is a study based on the theory of plasticity by means of the model and the hypothesis, and the latter is a study researched the change of microstructure as behaviors of dislocation, microstrain and etc. But, they ought to agree essentially with each other. Therefore, to elucidate the mechanism of the deformation of polycrystalline metals, it seems that it is more important to study the interrelation between the both. In this paper, the authors investigated the effective limit of the law of plastic deformation in the macroscopic field, and studied the effects of microstructure and strain rate on the flow stress with an aid of X-ray diffraction technique.
