室内空気中の未規制化学物質の検索と同定:ジクロロメタン濃度の調査と発生源の検索

High concentration of dichloromethane was detected in newly built houses. Emission source of dichloromethane was surveyed by a simplified chamber method using thin layer chromatography developing chamber. Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) used for bases and pillars of houses was turned out to be the emission source. Dichloromethane was used as solvent to penetrate antiseptics into LVL by the manufacturer. Time course of dichloromethane concentration in indoor air and the effect of ventilation were investigated. Taking 2 to 3 months until dwelling after the completion of construction and performing constant ventilation are fairly effective to decrease dichloromethane concentration. However, restriction of dichloromethane usage as solvent of house construction is more important and it is preferable to set a guideline value for indoor dichloromethane.
