In order to get a lot of good random numbers, a new physical system was designed. The system consist of a small scale microcomputer with a digital cassette recorder and Geiger-Mueller counter which detected γ-rays of radioactive source 137Cs. In this system, an electronic decade counter is incremented by 1MHz clock pulses. When the microcomputer is interrupted by random signals from G-M counter, a decimal number in the counter is loaded temporarily into the memory of the microcomputer and then recorded on the digital cassette tape. Physical random numbers obtained in the method have passed some important tests of randomness.
