Carson McCullers was born in Columbus, Georgia in 1917 and published five novels, two dramas, twenty short stories and some non-fictions and verses for children during her fifty years of life time. Among five novels, "The Heart ls a Lonely Hunter" and "The Member of the Wedding" became popular and later both of them were made into the films. And they are also famous because the heroines in the both novels are said to be just like the author herself. In this paper, I'd like to introduce how the heroine in "The Member of the Wedding" reflects the author.
