This paper describes a numerical simulation of CO2 gas absorption and desoxption rates, using equations derived from the results of the experiments with HCl and monoethanolamine(MEA) solution. In the absorption process, the rate of the increase in the quantity of all CO2 species in the solution, [CO2]T, increased with MEA concentration, solution temperature and CO2 gas flow rate. The rate of decrease in [CO2]T during the desorption process was high when the solution temperature was low and N2 gas flow rate was high. And the decrease rate of [CO2]T in MEA solution was simllar to that of the HCl solution when MEA concentration was lower than 0.10mol/dm(3). On the other hand, the concentration of CO2 in the exhaust gas following absorption process was lower with a high concentration MEA solution than with a HCl solution. It was low, when the solution temperature was high, and CO2 gas flow rate was low. CO2 concentration in the exhaust gas following the desorption process was high when the solution temperature and CO2 gas flow rate were low. But CO2 concentration using MEA solution and that using HCl solution were similar when the MEA concentration was lower than 0.10mol/dm(3).
