Nickel hydroxide electrodes are widely used as cathodes in alkaline batteries. Recently, many applications is required both high power and long cycle life for battery. The incorporation of nickel hydroxide as electro active material can take place by chemical and electrochemical methods. Electrolytic impregnation of nickel hydroxide into foam formed nickel porosity from 1.0M nickel nitrate solution added buffer agents was carried out the current density of 30mA cm-2 at a temperature of 50℃. The variation of electrolyte pH is minimized and the good reproducibility can be obtained by the presence of 0.08M to 0.1M citric acid. The morphology of the deposits was observed with SEM and the surface products were analyzed by means of XRD. From the result of discharge capacity analysis, it was considered that the cell capacity was dependent on the morphology of active materials.
