Last year there happened again quite a few problems related to China such as the disturbance in Tibet, poisoned dumplings with minced pork, the performances intended on purpose at the opening ceremony of Olympic games and so on. Against the foreign mass media reporting such news as are undesirable to China, we have observed many reactions protesting that some of them were meant to put China into a difficult position whereas we were not responsible at all. Liang Xiaosheng, as an author, stressed his loyalty for Chinese government stating that he would not care at all even if foreigners might consider Chinese people to be foolish, Referring to such issues as “Historical recognition”, “Buying trollops for money at Zhuhai” etc, Liang Xiaosheng criticizes Japan and makes unique criticism upon Japanese women. Speeches and actions by the intellectuals will influence the public opinion but, at the same time, it is likely that as worldly tactics they are making their standpoint clarified just in case of political danger in future.
