Interaction among International Students at Oita University and their Integration into Japanese Life : a Cross-Cultural Perspective

This paper will look first into the issues involved in the integration of international students with local students in Australia as an example from a global point of view and then the inquiry will focus on interactions amongst international students themselves and between international and Japanese students at Oita University. Both cases indicate the existence of some serious intercultural issues and reveal the need to improve the situation for the realization of truly "internationalized"campuses.
