All the conditions of use in: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.5/es/deed.en_USSPEBC, an adaptive computer-based assessment system, will provide initial, formative, andsummative assessments. SPEBC will generate multiple-choice and open-ended questionsadapted to the learners’ background knowledge and external representations. SPEBC willgenerate personalized assignments and will use voting devices to capture the learner’s answersin. Moreover, the personalization approach is based on the generation of personalizedresponses using for each set of answers a different kind of external representation. Previousstudies about the use of adaptive systems and classroom communication systems in theclassroom have shown to be effective.
