Situation of traffic safety in Saitama prefecture is very serious because the number of traffic accident fatalities in Saitama prefecture is 4th (2006), 8th (2007) in Japan. In response, workshop was held to discuss traffic safety measures in collaboration with local government, road users and university students. Target areas were Oaza-shiba, Kawaguchi city (principal prefectural road Kawaguchi - Ageo)In the workshop of Kawaguchi, as there is a lot of dashing out accidents in the principal prefectural road Kawaguchi – Ageo, the temporal hump experiment was executed in this area to control dashing out accidents.
