This paper explores the militarization of Japanese industries by engendering “ Military-Industrial Complex System (MICS) ” composed of Self-Defense Forces (SDF) and Japanese weapons/nonweapons industry from the perspective of the constructed “ masculinities”. The typical patterns of the relationships between MICS and “ masculinities ” are argued by analyzing 4 phases of the human linkages between the SDF officials and the company members in each industry.Firstly, the influence of “Military Leading Masculinity (MLM)” entering weapons industry on MICS is observed through the parachutist of “high-rank SDF personnel”. Secondly, the construction of “Company Ethics Strengthening Masculinity (CESM) ” based on MICS in the heavy industries company as the weapons industry is argued. Thirdly, the role of MLM and its position in the hierarchy of masculinity in non-weapons industry required for MICS are discussed through the reemployment of “middle-rank SDF personnel”. Lastly, the relationship between CESM in non-weapons industry and the formation of MICS is considered through the provision company dealing with SDF.These cases above indicate the existence of gendered MICS constructed by “ masculinities”. In Japanese MICS, the characteristics of the “ masculinities ” adapting to the hierarchy system of the company members operate corresponding to the characteristics of the each industry or company.
