• In many preceding studies, it is said that the child-centric education of the new arithmetic education movement in the Taisho era led to the publication of the official arithmetic textbook in 1935. But some detailed studies on the arguments of arithmetic education in the 1920s and '30s don ’t connect the movement and the textbook straight.I'd like to make clear this connection, and the nature of the study on arithmetic education of Seiichi Inatugu who flourished from the 1920s to '30s.Consequently, it became clear that Seiichi Inatugu attempted to integrate the child-centric education with the systematic learning of arithmetic.
