Magnetization, electrical resistivity and the Hall resistivity have been measuredon polycrystalline Er_<1-x>Y_xFe_2 in cubic Laves phase. All the compounds have beenconfirmed to be ferrimagnetic except for YFe_2 which is ferromagnetic.Curie temperature T_c decreases slightly with increasing x. They have a compensation temperature θ_c at which the spontaneous magnetization has a minimum.The magnetic properties are discussed on the basis of the molecular field theoryand the electrical resistivity and the Hall constants are discussed on the basis of thelocalized moment model.
