It is well-Known that the problem of the title to the Ryukyu Islands had surfaced as one of the focus of the international concern in East Asiauntil 1880'ssince 1870's, and this problem had becomeanimportant diplomatic issue between Japan and China on the day.Exactly at the same period, a lot of modem newspaper and magazine for chinese readers was launched in China. these newspapers and magazines come to accomplish the role as the medium bywhich the chinese nationalism was formed facing the foreign tension such as the problem of the title to Ryukyu Islands.Some sheets of newspapers and magazines to represent chinese journalism at that time are as follows; the Shenbao (申報), the Wanguo Gongbao (万国公報), Yiwenlu (益聞録) in Shanghaiand theXunhuan Ribao (循環日報) in Hongkong.In this text. the artielsand the editorials printed to the above-mentioned four sheets of newspapers and magazines concerning the problem of the title to Ryukyu Islands are collected in order of thedate.
