The collisions between China and France about the Suzerainty over Vietnam became sharper after the 1870's.In the first half of the 1880's, the Sino-French War broke out, and as a result of the defeat, China lost the Suzerainty over Vietnam.At the same period, a lot of chinese newspaper commented upon the Vietnam problem, and the many articles about the Sino-French War were to be seen in the newspapers almost every day. particulerly the Xunhuan Ribao (循環日報) in　Hongkong, the Shenbao (申報）in Shanghai and the Shubao (述報) in Guangzhou　inspired the Chinese with patriotism.In this text, the articls and the editorials printed in the above-mentioned threenewspapers concerning the Vietnam problem are collected in order of the date.
