The two fundamental studies on vibration measurement based structural modeling and structural health monitoring were conducted. One is on an appropriate model of cable-stayed bridge for earthquake resistant design, which was discussed by comparing the earthquake-induced response record and the simulated response of the model. Another is on a reliable method of damping identification; RD-ERA-Bootstrap method, based on ambient vibration measurements, which was applied to a PC box-girder bridge and a middle- rise building. The important findings through the studies are summarized in the present paper.
