We excavated a small area of the Usti-Ainskoe Site in 1993. We found a pit dwelling, which was partly destroyed by the changes in the course of the Ainskoe river. Judging from the pottery discovered there, the dwelling dates back to the period of Susuya pottery and Esutoru pottery types. The ground plan of the dwelling, the positions of the post-holes and the location of the fire place are similar to those of the Okhotsk Culture dwellings. They indicate that the Susuya and the Esutoru people had close cultural relations with the Okhotsk culture people.オホーツク文化形成期の諸問題 = Problems on the formative stage of the Okhotsk culture
