The uniaxial stress-strain relations of plain concrete proposed previously by the authors are extended to the nonlinear elastic ones for multiaxial stress state applying the model proposed by Ottosen. The constitutive model of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) is proposed based on the law of mixture in which the debonding behavior and orientation of steel fiber are characterized, and the various material constants in the constitutive equation are determined by the nonlinear least square method. Furthermore, the model of SFRC is extended to predict the behavior of SFRC confined by lateral steel bars. The rational applicability of the proposed model is shown in the comparison between the predicted stress-strain curves and many experimental ones.
