This paper addresses an electrical measurement method of AC transport current losses in HTS tapes. In the method, there are various origins of errors e,g, improper arrangement of leads from the voltage taps on an HTS tape, phase errors of a current measuring device and inductive voltage cancellation device, external magnetic field, magnetization of neighboring tapes and common mode noise in the voltage signal from the sample. Influence of those errors are studied, and methods to suppress the errors are discussed. In the paper, some techniques which can minimize the errors are recommended.
