第IV章に於けると全く同様な方法を用ひて第V章に昭和4年6月2日伊勢灣口に起つた深發地震を定量的に調査した.此の地震に關しては始め鷲坂氏はB-型の地震であるとせられたに對し石本博士はP波初動「押し,引き」分布に關する限りA-型の機巧にて極めてよく説明出來る事を指摘されて.其の何れであるか問題視されて居たが本調査によりB-型機巧の方が簡單にP,S,兩波の初動方向,振幅等を説明出來る事が明になつた.然し乍ら石本博士によるA-型の機巧にてもP-波の説明には充分であり,S波初動も此の外に第2種のS-波を附加すれば説明出来ない事ではなく,前者との間の相違は僅である.
