• 世界各国からの留学生を対象に，彼らが日本人の会話の仕方とその教育に関して，どのような意識を持っているかを知るためのアンケート調査を行った。その結果，一般的な傾向としては，多様な側面に時刻との差異を感じていること，とくに「はっきり言わないこと」など，いくつかの面に違和感を感じていること，しかし，多くの人はそうした会話の仕方を習得していくことには積極的であることなどが分かった。東アジア諸国からの留学生も上記の点をはじめ，「本当の気持ちと違うことを言う」，「深いコミュニケーションができない」，「同調への圧力を感じる」など多様な種類の違和感や不満を感じていること，その背景にはコミュニケーション文化や人間関係の距離の取り方の違い，さらには集団の中での行動様式の違い等の要因もあることがわかった。We made a survey by questionnaire on foreign students from 23 countries including the following contents. The main contents are : What feelings and thoughts do they have about Japanese-style conversation and communication? What opinions do they have about practising such conversation style? As a result, we found that they generally feel unnatural or uncomfortable about some aspects of Japanese-style conversation, but they have high motivation to learn such a conversation style. We considered the data of the students from East Asian countries in more detail, and identified some causes which cause negative feelings.
