A mathematical model is studied to evaluate the performance of a water thermal storage tank system using paraffin based latent heat nmterial to enlarge the thermal storage capacity. Real Tanks is divided into several zones alone the water flow. Heat balances among the zones and heat sources are calculated to simulate the heat storage process. The operation schedule and performance of the chiller are considered in the simulation. Within the Cylindrical material, One-dimensional finite difference method is used to calculate the heat conduction. Comparison between the experimental data and the numerical results reveals that the method is effective enough to evaluate the thermal storage capacity.
