This study aims to contribute to the saving power of the fluid dynamic thrust bearings by precise periodic structure. The friction measurements were performed by the combination of three kinds of periodic structure textured disk and the ring with dynamic pressure grooves. The friction measurements were conducted on Ring-on-disk test machine, the result was compared. As a result, in the case of high viscosity, the effects of the periodic structure weren't observed, because the spacing between ring and disk was larger than the roughness of texture by the hydrodynamic lubrication effect. In the case of low viscosity, the disk has a periodic structure slowly rose in friction coefficient compared to the mirror surface disk. And the periodic structure of parallel revealed the stable floating.
