The MS model for RC members is a practical tool for inelastic analysis of structure, because it can simulate the nonlinear hysteretic behavior of members without a large amount of computational effort. In this paper, the MS models with 10-degree-of-freedom for RC columns and shear walls were proposed. The hysteretic model for effective concrete springs was defined as trilinear skeleton curve which neglected tensile resistance. In order to examine the adaptability of the proposed models, the inelastic static and dynamic analyses were performed and the analytical results were compared with those of the tests. In numerical analyses by using the proposed models, the unbalanced forces were eliminated successfully.
