In this paper, we present a new approach to simultaneously optimize clipping noise due to PAPR reduction and the non-linear digital predistortion transfer function in order to achieve better transmitting signal quality for desired levels of PAPR. Because of the proposed joint optimization, spectral regrowth can be reduced significantly (by about 5-10 dB, or even more). The out-of-band spectrum suppression is mostly pronounced for the adjacent channels frequencies that suits especially well to 4G communication systems with wideband signals like LTE or LTE-A. Numerical results show that the proposed system with joint optimization is an attractive alternative to the conventional frontend architecture with a stand-alone predistorter solution.
