The successful realization of a Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) using UWB which support different applications (medical, sportive, entertainment), an innovative solution is required to meet the different requirements for these applications. A novel methodology which supports the coexistence between medical and entertainment purposes presented in this paper. In this work, we introduce the using of space time spreading (STS) combined with adaptively changing the spreading factor according to the application type and priority. The system assumes two transmitter and one receiver antennas and uses impulse response ultra wideband (IR-UWB) pulses. The system runs in a Rayleigh quasi-static fading channel.
