Most students of technical colleges in Japan tend to regard philosophy as an object of memorization. Why dophilosophy class in technical colleges emphasize not philosophizing but memorizing? How can we improve this presentsituation? The purpose of this paper is to answer based on my teaching practice these doubts. I think that the disadvantagesare caused if the content of "philosophy" class is mere "history of philosophy". That is, pleasure of multipronged thinkingwhich is one of important characteristics of philosophizing perishes. What I want to emphasize in this paper is thefollowing: philosophy teachers can adopt interactive teaching style, for example, discussion-based teaching andcase-method teaching, because they already adopt such style in engineering ethics class. It is teacher's role to support theirstudent to experience not "result" that philosophers thought about but "process" that philosophers tried to think.
