The purpose of this study is to explore feedback after an English grammar test, Oba G-Test ( Ver.7 ) . The test wasdeveloped by Masaya OBA, a professor emeritus at Yokohama National University. In our college, the test iscomputerized using CALIS ( Computer Assisted Language Instruction System ) s o s tudents c an t ake t he test oncomputers. By analyzing the test results in detail, we identified students' thought processes leading to erroneous answers aswell as their weak points in English grammar. We would like to develop a formative evaluation to create effective methodsof providing feedback through the test.
