I have been conducting an eight-month kanji class since Nov. 2009. The aim of this class is to raise the awareness of autonomous language learning. Each one of the three participants in this class is encouraged to carry out their own study according to their interest and study plan. I, as a supporter, hold a consultation time once a week where I give them some advices and check how they are proceeding. This paper reports on the participants' study in the first four months.
