In this paper, band diagram of 2D electromagnetic band gap (EBG) structure composed of Drude type frequency-dependent materials is analyzed using a new finite-difference frequency-domain (FDFD) algorithm. The new derived FDFD algorithm is capable to clearly model and calculate the propagating modes in Drude type frequency-dependent material
