Beethoven's 32 piano sonatas are divided into 3 periods according to the time of composition. The well-known piano sonata "Moonlight" was composed in 1801. Seven sonatas were composed before and after "Moonlight"(1801-1802). These are considered to be transitional years to the second period. During this period, he lost interest in classical sonata forms of Haydn and Mozart. His efforts to create new type of sonatas are reflected in these 7 sonatas, where he used various composing methods. In this paper, his innovative methods are studied from the scores of 4 sonatas among these 7 sonatas. In addition to the study, I will report that how I, when playing "Moonlight", have been reassured the penetrating power of the music if I can express the composer's intended sounds.
