Strain gauges attached blade surface are used to monitor the blade vibration, especially for low pressure turbine blade which has tip shroud. In that case, strain distribution of blade surface on operating condition must be predicted more accurately, and the relationship between critical stress and monitored strain is needed to avoid HCF failure. A vibration evaluation system applied MAC is developed to verify the measured strain distribution and numerically derived one. The MAC is used to compare experimental results with FEM results by using strain vectors as mode vectors, while it is commonly used with displacement vectors. In this paper, this evaluation system is applied to the test piece and also the blade, and effectiveness of the system is discussed.
