This report discusses the results of an investigation of 924 female students. All students were from the Junior College Secretarial Department from 2005 through 2010, when continuous research of first year students took place over this six-year period. In all 812 responded to theinvestigation. Responses were split into two groups one higher and one lower. The research was related to the career education and the specialty for business in the Junior College. The purpose of this report is to show (1) motivation for learning. These were varied such as:preparation for job hunting, upgrading job qualifications, learning and practicing business manners, etc. (2) The higher motivated students give the Junior College a positive image. (3) A factor analysis of student choices was conducted and three main factors came to light. The first factoris personal growth and a desire for betterment. The second factor is a desire for professional growth and ease of anxiety for the future. These first two factors were the same for both groups. However, the third factor showed that the higher group was more concerned about the future than the lower group who were less anxious.
