Recently, secure communications in UWB based on cryptographic keys generated from channel measurements have been developed. Assuming that there is no complete symmetric channel between the legitimate users, Alice and Bob are unable to obtain identical measurements of the channel. We proposed a system which evaluate the quantized channel impulse response in order to generate common key between Alice and Bob. A threshold defines the upper bound of the number of bits needed in quantization to guarantee the uniqueness of the secret key shared among right users.
