This paper makes comparisons between the effects of LTT (Liking for team teaching of a Japanese homeroom teacher and a native English teacher) and ESTE (Enjoyment spending time with English) of elementary school students, comparing affective variables in English activities. The effects of LTT on affective variables were not greater than those of ESTE. Children who had greater LTT showed both greater motivation and perceived competence in English.
