A system of equations of non-equilibrium reacting, slightly ionized plasma is derived on several assumptions and is applied to the calculation of one-dimensional flows. As an example, the inlet flow (10^5m/sec) of Argon (1atm) seeded with Potassium (10^16cm^-3) in the presence of transverse magnetic field is considered and the relaxation of ionization and the electron temperature are calculated. These are typical conditions of MHD non-equilibrium power generation. The radiant electron energy loss is also taken into account. The results of the calculation show that the inlet length of the relaxation is from 3cm to 30cm in this case when ωτ is from 5 to 2.5, respectively. But this length becomes shorter when the seeding is reduced. The case of local equilibrium corresponding to infinite reaction rate is also investigated. The necessary length is about the half of that in the finite reaction case.
