Aggregational state of slurry influences on the end-product performance in various industrial processes. But the between relation the viscosity and aggregational state is not clear. Effect of floc shape on the slurry viscosity was examined by both measuring viscosity with a cone-plate rotational rheometer and using a model to simulate solid-liquid multi flow in this research. In the result, experimental values corresponded with values estimated by simulation successfully, so that high reliability in the simulation method was confirmed. In addition, it was found block structure had a bigger effect on the viscosity than chain structure. As for causes of it, it is thought fluid around particles was got in voids of many aggregations and apparent solid concentration grew.
