Magnetic fields are believed to play fundamental roles in producing various activities in the solar atmosphere. The understanding of their dynamics has been of a great importance in solar physics. The magnetic fields originally come from below the solar surface by magnetic buoyancy and once they emerge the magnetic fields show fairly dynamic behavior because the surrounding gas pressure decreases dramatically across the surface. We study this dynamic behavior of emerging magnetic fields by means of three-dimensional MHD simulation. The simulation is performed for a single flux tube initially placed below the photosphere, which then emerges and expands in the solar atmosphere. We analyze photospheric plasma motions caused by the emergence of the flux tube as well as coronal structures formed by the emerging flux tube.
