Recent self-consistent calculations of single-K^^- and multi-K^^- (hyper) nuclear states are reviewed. First, I demonstrate the interplay between the underlying dynamical processes and the relevant kinematical conditions that determine the sizeable decay widths of K^^--nuclear states. Then, I discuss a robust saturation pattern of the K^^- separation energy B_<K^^-> and densities on increasing the number of antikaons embedded in the (hyper) nuclear system. It is concluded that K^^- condensation is unlikely to occur in strong-interaction self-bound strange hadronic configurations.
